WHERE I AM NOW
empowering EV Charging @ Zest
After returning from a 3-year sabbatical in late 2022, I made a the decision to start working within the EV industry leading the UX team at Fuuse. It's an amazing industry to work in, with so much changing rapidly. The learning curve was steep, but I've found myself mastering the terminology and technology to make the EV charging experience for both drivers and CPOs EVen better. Since making that leap I now find myself working in one of the UKs fastest growing networks at Zest.
MY EXPERIENCE
From corporate to startups, I’ve seen it all
Since starting my professional career in UI / UX, I’ve helped put self-care at the heart of healthcare at Your.MD, I spent a period tinkering and improving Ubuntu’s web product experience and helped develop the Fabric design system at Immediate Media Co.
After graduating with a BA (Hons) in Industrial Design from Loughborough University in 2016, I moved to London to explore a career in digital design. Having studied physical product design I was worried this may hinder my chances at moving into digital design. After landing my first role I was hooked. I found my passion for pixel perfection in visual and user interface & interaction.
MY BACKGROUND
Naturally curious with a terrible sense of humour
I'm originally from Cumbria in the north-west of the UK.
Over the past three years, I've been fortunate to take a break from my professional career to explore different cultures and countries.
During that time, I took the opportunity to reflect on my interests and skills. This included exploring various hobbies such as photography, managing a travel blog, and collaborating on social media.
It was a challenging decision to step away from work, but I knew it was an opportunity I couldn't pass up. I'm now back and fully focused on advancing my career and seeking new challenges!
Outside of work, my hobbies include drone photography, gaming, and staying active. In 2019, I completed my first marathon for Dementia UK, and I plan to take on more in the future!
